I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, able to draw upon a range of therapies and tailor them to meet your individual needs. For example, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help address irrational thoughts and can provide valuable tools for managing anxiety. A 'psychodynamic' approach can be hugely beneficial when working with clients with low self-esteem or depression - in particular, understanding how past experiences, including events in childhood, might be affecting someone in the present. In most cases, I’ll use a mix of these and other techniques to develop a solution which works for each individual. I always maintain an underlying person-centred (or 'humanistic') approach enabling the client to feel safe, understood and valued. I work with individuals aged 18 to 80+.
